With both a Portuguese & British upbringing, my personality is far from boring! My unique look: Comfortable contemporary living with an eccentric twist. The trend following through into the new areas maintaining a Mozambique culture, creating a mix of rustic contemporary! The city is filled with intense old architure mixed with new energy and style. This shop needed a make over, something more fresh; brighter and contemporary! White was the basic colour with elements of purple and greens. We brought in more colour with the customised wallpaper we had created for the store. Clever usage of space; lighting and finishes created a successful new interior! Tones of greys and of the pastel colour palette follow through in the home. Outdoor interiors we have brighten up the the tones to add to a fun outdoor living space. This contemporary home in Century City, Cape Town has a beautiful warm subtle palette! The brief was to keep the space contemporary but to add a rich warm feel to the space. The kitchen was revamped to with high gloss units and bespoke splash backs. We created this in our selection of fabrics; furniture; rugs and colours. We used the tones of greys; silvers; white along with mirrored finishes. We changed the paint colour and also added a beautiful damask print wall paper along with new interior decor! A compact contemporary apartment was decorated to be a rental for an investor abroad. We changed all the light fittings to give the apartment a custom feel, the interior decorating is simple; cleaned lined yet comfortable! The colour base was neutrals layered with accents of bright pops of colour! Focusing on family, every step taken was to give the homeowners the perfect holiday home to escape to during national, school and religious holidays to spend time with the family away from their busy routines. The homeowners purchased the property with a majority of the current furniture in, however the change came in the form of texture, colour and carpeting. Anna changed the overall paint colour of the home using accent walls that had grasscloth wallpaper applied and installed new wall to wall carpeting in the bedrooms. By starting with the foundation that was already there, the current furniture was upholstered with fresh new fabrics and covers; then they brought in custom pieces and layered them with beautiful fun accents and loose lay rugs. This home now has a perfect feel for relaxed holiday vibes with a classic and contemporary feel. By creating a striking feature wall and upcycling the existing furniture Neville Watt’s living room has been transformed into a stylish, inviting space. Slipcovers in Belgian linen were made for the sofas and the seat inners were re-filled to make them more comfortable. The slipcovers on the sofas are made up in Mavromac’s Belgium Linen River and the scatters cushions feature a combination of textured fabrics from Hertex, Home Fabrics and Tessa Sonik. The wall unit incorporates a bar that makes serving drinks easy. It was made and installed by River Woods Manufacturing. The palette is predominantly natural or neutral shades including charcoal, cream and taupe paired with more sumptuous colours such as gold, mauve or navy. Anna Correia’s work is influenced by a broad experience of the world, with time spent in international destinations ranging from New York, Barcelona, Paris and London to Portugal, Amsterdam, and Mozambique. The client is passionate for contemporary South African Art, we were able to combine the artwork into the contemporary warm space with a fine selection of art framing! A beautiful mix of elaborate and contemporary, with rich colours of reds; golds and creams made up in selections of imported fabrics.
