The entire summer went by, and Caine had yet to have a single customer. Since we are a hip and happening up to date company we realized that we had to either join our competition with a website only OR we could beat them to it and join the social media frenzy! In single wall board, one layer of the fluted medium is placed between two sheets of linerboard. The outside liner is smoother than the inside liner, and the outside corrugated medium is more compact than the inside corrugated medium. No matter how big or small of a place you have, it ALWAYS takes longer than you think. As you begin packing and organizing, you’ll probably run across things you haven’t used in a year (or five). If you can let go of these things, donate or sell them, you’ll just have that much less to pack and carry and unpack! By doing this you get a lot of stuff out of the way quickly and you’ll begin to get a sense for how many boxes and packaging materials you’ll still require (in our experience most customers under estimate the box and packing tape quantities they’ll require.) You’ll also begin to form an idea of whether you’re on track to finish packing on time. At your new house/office the same colour label is stuck to the door frame of the room/office and movers then know exactly which boxes go where. Unpacking can now also be prioritized as all the boxes have their contents listed on the outside and urgently required items can be unpacked first. Moving Pot Plants: Drain all excess water from the pot, line a suitable sized box with a plastic sheet or bin liner and place the pot plant inside. Remember a tightly-packed box is a strong box which will endure a bit of rough handling and stacking. To be more efficient, pack the items from a room in the same box. On the morning before your big move pack a survival kit for last on and first off the moving truck. As the truck doors open at your new premises be sure to keep your eye on these boxes and guard them with your life. The survival kit is a few boxes of essentials for your first day/night and also your first week at the new place. Ensure you get to your new premises before the moving truck so that you can have your colour coded labels and map ready for them at the front door. The reason for this is that when you unpack it’s easier to unpack the bigger furniture first, as you most probably already have a fair idea of where these items need to go. Below are a few tips to make this next step in the moving process go smoother. Arrange Furniture First: It’s easy to clear a room of boxes, or at least most of the boxes, so that you can visualize the space and what you want to put where. If you need to purchase furniture for a room, try to unpack as little as possible in that room until the new furniture has arrived. Essentials First: Once your furniture is arranged unpack your survival kit first. No need to stress out about the amount of work, remember to enjoy your new surroundings a little as well!
