GardenPride have been supplying compost, topsoil-mix and kraal manure for the last 15 years. The natural composting process takes up to 3 months, and two large screening plants to ensure all our products are as refined as possible. We have added a new products to our portfolio being: Worm Fertilizer; Instant Lawn and Garden Services. The Worm Fertilizer is a natural fertalizer and very rich in organic mediums to provide a the best long-term, natural soil fertility enhancing product available. The Instant Lawn is supplied in two variants: Kikuyu and LM. The Garden Services are varied and are quoted specific to the job. The products and services GardenPride supplies are: Compost. GardenPride Kikuyu Grass is a popular grass found most common in residential houses and complexes, preferably in sunny areas. GardenPride Kikuyu Grass has got a reasonable low maintenance and has wide adaption to wet and dry conditions. Forms a thick carpet, and apart from home lawns, it is also popular on rugby fields and horse-riding tracks. Kikuyu grows very fast and usually needs to be mowed at least once a week in summer time and less in winter time. If cared for correctly it makes an outstanding lawn and has a deep to light green colour. Kikuyu needs to be watered regularly especially in the warmer summer months. Kikuyu is a great choice for a family lawn and if the area is a sunny area. GardenPride offers an exceptional quality, freshly cut on order, weed free Kikuyu grass and delivered with no planting, spreading and/or preparation included. If planting, spreading or preparation is required, this will be charged for extra. As it is also a creeper it can be combined with a grass such as Kikuyu to fill in the shady areas. GardenPride offers an exceptional quality, freshly cut on order, weed free LM Berea grass and delivered with no planting, spreading and/or preparation included. Our compost consists of organic decomposed manures, finely sifted and left to stand. The advantages of applying organic compost to your garden includes. Look after your soil and your soil will support healthy plants and be more productive. It also provides vital humus and nutrients to encourage plant growth. Initially when GardenPride started out 15 years ago we only supplied Kraal Manure, or more simpler Cow Manure. Be careful though, too much Kraal Manure can burn your grass and also direct application on flower beds without mixing a little can do more damage than good. GardenPride provides your lawn with a Lawn Dressing specially formulated for the Gauteng soil and grass requirements. GardenPride Lawn Dressing consists of GardenPride Topsoil and GardenPride organic medium Compost specially mixed to an ideal ratio and finely sifted. GardenPride Lawn Dressing is to be used on Kikuyu grass lawns. Other fine lawns must apply GardenPride organic medium Compost directly, or better still a mix of GardenPride organic medium Compost and GardenPride Kraal Manure. GardenPride Lawn Dressing increases the microbes in the soil so that the lawns roots can take up the available organic nutrients in the soil. These microbes also help suppress diseases in the soil. By adding the organic content also helps the soil to retain water. Make sure that the action leaves no bumps on the surface and fills all the hollows in. Do not leave top dressing lying on the surface of the lawn. If there is excess top dressing left on the grass surface after spreading then remove it.
