The team has extensive experience in commercial, hospitality and residential projects across the globe, and work closely with clients to deliver striking, innovative and productive buildings and interiors that exceed client expectations. A Point works with property developers to maximise building potential, commercial occupiers looking for efficient and productive interiors and private residential clients seeking to create unique and personal spaces. A Point provides full architectural design, interior design and décor services, space planning, and workplace design, across a broad range of scales from large mixed-use urban developments and luxury resort complexes to retail and restaurants and the more domestic scale of private residential projects. The practice also carries out concept design work for leading interior architecture practices in the UK, USA and Asia. The practice works with a strong team of experienced designers and an established network of consultants and contractors to ensure an integrated approach to projects, responding to each unique brief, location and context. The combined expertise of the team means projects are approached with creativity and innovation, and thorough communication with a design-driven team takes the clients brief to a well-planned conclusion. The directors take a hands-on approach, dealing directly with clients to ensure that the design solutions meet both the client’s practical requirements and ambitious aspirations for the project. Dimitrije Djukic has a Masters degree in architecture from Belgrade University and he also studied further interior design. In 2011 Dimitrije co-founded A Point, working between Dubai and Johannesburg, on a range of projects in the Middle East, Singapore, China and USA. Dimitrije is driven by his passion for architecture, and his work is recognised for its clean lines and understated elegance. He strives for simplicity and clarity of vision in each building design. He also works on the interior architecture aspect of the project, ensuring a coherent design solution. He has led a multi-disciplinary design practice in Johannesburg, South Africa for over 15 years. Since 2005 Michael has been based in the UAE, where he was Director of AMM, where he was involved in lifestyle design for the hospitality industry, creating brand image, look and feel of the guest experience for several top hotels. Unassuming, bright-eyed and passionate, Jacques is a rare gem that has found his way back to south African shores. and with him, comes some of the best and most sought-after experience in interior design and hospitality on the planet. In-love with design and hospitality design, even as a young boy growing up in Rustenburg, the raw and wild landscape of southern Africa inspired him even more. It culminated in pursuing studies in design after being inspired by the palace of the lost city. Then landing a plum position with the internationally famed company, based in Dallas, who as fortune would have it, designed the palace of the lost city in the first place set him on a trajectory for success. All of this shows that Jacques is a man who has the ability to manifest thought and vision into startling and admired reality. His dream for a point is to show the rest of the world that Africa is not just a a few lines on the map when it comes to interior design. It’s no longer a place dictated to by European culture and trends. It is time for Africa’s creativity and creations to take its own place on the international stage.
