After doing her articles at Barkers Attorneys in Durban during 1989-1991, Leigh practiced as a Professional Assistant at Thorpe and Hands Attorneys. Today, with more than 24 years of experience each, Kevin and Leigh together have represented both the public sector, many of the local and district municipalities, the Department of Housing, Department of Finance etc. The partners have been involved in numerous litigous cases, including the prosecution of construction disputes including breach and interpretation etc. of Fidic and NEC agreements, insurance and procurement and municipal law involving amongst others water rights disputes, eviction of illegal squatters breach of the Procurement acts and regulations and many tender disputes. Leigh has extensive experience in individual Labour Law and acts for both the individual employees against their employers and for the employer against individual employees, both in internal disciplinary and grievance matters and in the CCMA, Labour Court etc. Leigh’s forte and passion is training and development. Leigh has extensive experience in the development and facilitating of training materials and work shop training courses.
