Projects have been completed in South Africa, Namibia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Swaziland in a range of geotechnical environments. Bear GeoConsultants works in close collaboration with competent, experienced and independent geotechnical engineers, geohydrologists, geophysicists, and environmental specialists. This network of specialists is able to provide versatile and cost effective consulting services to a wide variety of clients. Tony A’Bear serves as an external examiner of a course on engineering geology at the University of the Witwatersrand. Tony is a past-president of the South African Institute of Engineering and Environmental Geologists and was a member of the Council for eight years. The Company can provide foundation solutions for specific structures ranging from houses and artificially surfaced playing fields to large structures such as silos, mills and multi-storey buildings.
