The Candleworks was established in 2001 and has perfected the art of making quality fragranced candles with a good scent throw and excellent burning time. Our exclusive candles are quality hand made in South Africa. Every candle is individually hand crafted, which gives them a unique and natural finish. Our delicate fragrances are carefully blended from scented oils sourced from around the world. Our candles burn cleanly and have a good wax to wick ratio making them burn all the way to the end. We use the most natural and pure ingredients we can find and everything we make and sell is of the highest quality. The Bryanston Organic & Natural Market has, for the past 39 years, been a haven of calm in the busy city where you can enjoy leisurely shopping in a peaceful and scenic outdoor environment. It carries the accolade of being Johannesburg’s original outdoor market and is a place of relaxed enjoyment for the whole family. We carry a variety of products in our store as well as candle dipping facilities capable of accommodating small groups, great fun for all ages. The Candleworks specialises in creating custom-made orders including your own private label of branded products, we have over the years created products for Kalahari, House of Isis, Nataniel, Naked Cherry, The Soap Factory and many more. Let your kids explore their creative side with this fun activity. Candle-dipping is available at our stall at The Bryanston Organic and Natural Market on Thursdays and Saturdays and is recommended for kids of all ages. Our free hanging candle holders are designed to create an attractive ambient evening light. They are suspended with nylon line which creates the magical effect of them floating in mid air. From the day that we opened our doors in 2001, we have been making quality candles and selling great products to complement them. Our candles are made with the best waxes available and all burn cleanly, while our fragrances are of the highest quality. The highest percentage of fragrance possible is put into our candles to ensure that the scent throw is experienced in full. We specialise in cylindrical shaped candles as well as some square ones. Other shapes may be ordered and we do our best to accommodate our customers’ wishes. The candles are wrapped in cellophane and labelled with details of the scents they contain. Our Equilibrium range, which differs greatly from the décor range, is more suited to gifting. It consists of two-toned rough textured candles which are sold unwrapped with rustic packaging. Each candle is decorated with raffia, a glass bead and a card label describing the scent. Our aroma range of bottled fragrances and essential oils, and other aromatic products are for home use in burners, reed diffusers, potpourri and other home fragrance systems. The essential oils can also be used for massage with our carrier oils. We are always looking for new and innovative aromatic products to add to our range. Our hanging bamboo candle holders are unique to us. They are designed to hold the candles within the bamboo’s natural nodes with various carvings which allow the light to shine through from the inside. They can be hung from a tree in the garden or on a patio or veranda. We cater to the private individual shopper as well as wholesale customers wanting stock for a shop or organising a function. If a customer requires their own range of candles to sell themselves we can create that for them. These candles can be labelled and branded by the customer as their product. We strive to cater to each of our customers’ unique specifications.
