Cape Wedding Trio consists of a violin, clarinet and double-bass. We do free live demo’s where we discuss your wedding music needs and get to know what you have in mind for one of the most precious days in a person’s life. As they made their way to the ceremony area, we performed some popular well-known Bach pieces and continued till the bride made her entrance on the Mendelssohn Wedding March. It was lovely to perform to such a happy bunch of people and to enjoy the friendliness of every wedding guest and staff member at Boschendal today. The bride and groom requested three special songs to be part of their ceremony, but the bride made her entrance on the traditional Mendelssohn Wedding March. We simply kept our spirit of adventure and trusted our memorization skills like never before, although we had a few quick-thinking moments as the wind caused our music stands to blow over, our books took flight and the wind even blew down some of the champagne glasses from the drinks table. It always stays lovey to play at a wedding so well-planned and organized and also to make one more visit to Rhebokskloof! The acoustics were amazing and visitors even opened up the side doors to the cellar to find our music! A lovely venue with unbelievable views during sunset and a venue that is well groomed with excellent service at all times. With such perfect weather in Franschhoek, the bride could count her blessings and she was clearly delighted by the perfect conditions on the day. The guests spontaneously applauded their favourite numbers as we played songs from different eras. As music should speak to all people, we believe that there must be something for everyone and this is why we play music that are familiar to all people. There is no greater reward than noticing how people tap their toes, enjoy each other’s company and sway along on well-known music! Seda is an acronym for the Small Enterprise Development Agency which is an agency of the South African Department of Trade and Industry. It was once again wonderful to contribute to a highly successful event and to work with events co-ordinator, Nico, from Explicit Events, and with caterer Belinda Davidson from A Food Affair. It was noticeable how younger couples optioned for the games and young parents with toddlers headed for a stroll along the dam. After every song they cheered and applauded with much satisfaction. With its private setting next to a lovely dam and on a perfectly groomed lawn, it provides the most intimate and romantic setting for your wedding ceremony. Our trio on violin, clarinet and double bass, welcomed guests on well-known classical pieces which the guests thoroughly enjoyed. And after many years, people still remember and talk about the good food and music at a wedding. Females peacocks are believed to choose their mates according to the size, color, and quality of their outrageous feather trains. Cape Wedding Trio provided music for the pre-drinks ceremony while the couple’s photos were taken\. Because of the heavy rains, the chapel area was closed off by a marquee tent and everyone had the luxury of keeping dry throughout the service. Some were placed in over-sized lanterns, and others were just placed on the table at the front of the wedding chapel.
