Consilium Capital SA is a Johannesburg-based asset management company, specialising in investment solutions for individuals, corporates and retirement clients.

Samki began his capital markets career in 2001 as an equity research analyst before moving on to the proprietary trading desk for a period of 3 years. He was instrumental in the cash future arbitrage desk that was profitable from inception. After a successful stint as an analyst and trader, he then moved to Citibank in 2007 in an Equity Sales role where he played a significant role in the rollout of the firm’s equity trading offering in Sub Saharan equity markets. Dr. Vuyokazi (Vuyo) Mahlati is the Principal Consultant and Co-owner of African Financial Group (AFG) responsible for Pan African and Emerging Markets Innovative Financial Solutions. She also founded a wool processing plant in partnership with Eastern Cape communal farmers. Her thesis focused on the role of value chains in mainstreaming rural entrepreneurs into global markets, and was the only one selected by the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences to be presented at the University’s inaugural New Voices in Science Colloquium. Her directorships include being the non-executive director of Lion of Africa Insurance Company, a subsidiary of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange Listed Brimstone Investment Company. She previously served for two terms as member of the Financial Markets Advisory Board as well as member of the Financial Services Board Licensing Committee. He is an authorised member of the Institute of Stockbrokers and has B Com in Economics from Witwatersrand University. After a successful stint, he joined the Cadiz Group initially in asset management and later moved on to stock broking as a sales trader. Gideon is currently the senior investment strategist at Consilium. Nicolas has spent 17 years in the financial markets, with 13 years as a proprietary equity trader. Nicolas continued to successfully trade equities and derivatives principally for a portfolio of private clients from 2004 till he was approached to set up the Olympus trading fund by Skybound Capital. Kobus has 27 years financial markets experience of which 11 years as investment manager. In 2012 he wrote an academic paper on the impact of load shedding and higher electricity prices in South Africa. In 2015 he joined Dalevest were he headed up their currency and equity trading desk, managing client portfolios. Jonathan is a market veteran with close to two decades experience and a series of market related qualifications. His strong interpersonal skills, powerful network and extensive knowledge forms the backbone of his market offering. Dryden is a member of the South African Institute of Stock Brokers (SAIS) and has 25 years of industry experience in the local markets. His financial services experience began in 2007 when he joined UBS for over 6 years and then helped set up a new stockbroking member of the JSE. Chad started work as an apprentice on the market floor in 1994 and moved across to Consilium upon the establishment in 1996, where he has worked as a trader, equity and equity derivatives compliance officer, and financial manager. Upon his return to South Africa, Daniel started trading local and international equities and derivative products at various proprietary trading houses. Throughout his career in financial markets, he has been exposed to sales, operations and compliance. Daniel has completed his Equity Trader’s Exams as well as Registered Person’s Exams for multiple asset classes.
