The name DISA is an acronym for (DI)mensionally (S)table (A)nodes. Disa Anodes is engaged in the manufacture of materials for the cathodic protection industry.

DISA Anodes is a company engaged exclusively in the manufacture of materials for the Cathodic Protection Industry. The company has been operating since 1994 but its history extends back to 1978, when its founders started Cathodic Protection contracting and installation services. Disa as a company is solely dedicated to serving the needs of the Cathodic Protection Industry, with our knowledgeable staff and comprehensive range of high quality products. The company was named DISA, which is an acronym for DI mensionally S table A nodes, after the first products manufactured were Mixed Metal Oxide coated Titanium Anodes. The range of products then rapidly expanded to include cast and extruded anodes of various Zinc, Magnesium and Aluminum alloys. These anodes are produced with or without steel wire cores, in rod, ribbon or strips and available in many dimensions. The directors and employees of DISA have many years of experience in all aspects of Cathodic Protection. This experience ranges from troubleshooting to survey, design, installation and commissioning. DISA manufactures products exclusively for the Cathodic Protection Industry and exports its products to all five continents. The extrusion division is equipped with billet heaters, coilers, die ovens and run out tables. DISA has a full accessories division which manufactures and assembles a variety of products. Our Foundry division has two magnesium furnaces, a zinc furnace and an aluminium furnace in which a variety alloys are produced from virgin metals. The Foundry casts billets for the use in our Extrusion division. Products are extruded from the quality billets produced in our foundry, and include rod and ribbon anodes of various alloys. These products are specifically designed and manufactured to compliment cathodic protection systems. Anodes can be extruded with or without a steel wire core. The extruded anodes are cropped and finished off in our Anode Line division, where welding, thread and pressure testing and packaging takes place. The anodes are used for the protection of buried or submerged pipelines, under and aboveground storage tanks, reinforced concrete and other buried metallic structures, as well as the inside of water tanks. The active mixed metal oxide coating consists of Iridium and tantalum Oxides and are suitable for both oxygen and chlorine evolution.
