Fly sheets are designed to tear if the horse or sheet gets caught on something but it should be designed so that the damage is minimal. Scrim sheets are designed to loosely fit over the horse’s body. The mesh design of fly sheets prevents horses from being dirty and dusty like solid material blankets do.
