The beautiful and long white sandy beach of Dongwe offers the opportunity of taking long walks, viewing countless Ngalawas and locals going about their day. White Sand luxury villas is one of those special places for me. Of course, it does help to have beautiful endless views, spacious and elegantly styled villas, and food that blows your mind. When you put all of those things together you are bound to end up with a special place right? There are loads of activities to do on the huge property and the beach is a wonderland full of little caves and overhangings. Their property lies right on the banks of the Sand river so the game viewing is pretty exceptional and even just sitting on the lodge deck, you can feel it is a really special place. Anybody who is keen to visit Madikwe will love the lodge. Driving along the busy Joburg roads you arrive at a sanctuary in the Honeydew hills that makes you feel as if you have driven 2 hours out of Johannesburg and into a game farm. Just outside the hustle and bustle of Dar es Salaam lies Hotel White Sands. A tranquil oasis in the usually traffic ridden city. This beautiful spot has a huge beachfront that looks out to the neighboring local islands and is the perfect spot for exploring the city. Elephants as a subject have been a long time favourite of mine. Over years and years of photographing them I’ve put together a little portfolio of some of my favourite images. The larger the island of knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder. KonoKono (meaning snail in Swahili) was made for honeymooners. Home to wild White lions and other beautiful bush sightings this lodge has a stunning warm atmosphere with a home away from home feel.
