Mapitsi Foundation is a division of Mapitsi Holdings, established in Wanting to give back to the community that she grew up in, Rahab, as a former learner of the school, adopted Thagaetala Senior Seconday School in Limpopo Province as her contribution towards being a responsible corporate citizen. On this day we run aerobic classes and compete in different sporting codes such as soccer, netball and volleyball. During this event we also involve other stakeholders such as Dept of Home Affairs, Dept of Health and SASSA as a way of bringing services to the people. To this end, the event has become a community affair that local traditional leadership and other stakeholders attend as Thagaetala has become a beacon of hope to Ga-Mphahlele villages. Makurung Village is an impoverished community, but residents are very eager to better their lives through various means, such as sports, the arts, etc. We have established a committee consisting of the school educators, principal, SGM members and community leader to formalise all needs so we can reach out to businesses, government and potential doors towards upliftment of this community.
