We offer ongoing support in a calm environment from experienced teachers and assistants. Welcome to a small independent remedial school specifically for children who struggle to cope in mainstream classrooms.

There are very few remedial schools, especially in the South of Johannesburg, so we are meeting a major need in our community. We provide a caring and educationally sound environment through remedial teaching for the child who does not cope in the mainstream classroom. Staff, parents and the child work together as a team. The staff are highly qualified experienced and dedicated teachers, assisted by three teachers’ assistants, and one secretary/bursar. Classes are small so that individual attention can be given to children to build their self-confidence. Remediation is an on-going part of the programme, with individualised programmes where necessary. We follow the National Curriculum geared to each child’s specific needs. MULBARTON Remedial is an excellent independent primary school with an outstanding record of past learners who have matriculated at a variety of schools. Learners are expected to be clean and neatly dressed when they arrive at school. What are the criteria for being considered a person with a disability?
