Thereafter the practice logo was developed to illustrate the transgression of light through the prism, unfolding into a rainbow to serve our entire rainbow Community. The practise with its 45 staff members consisting of Architects, Architectural Technologists, Interior Designers and qualified Project Managers (60% women and 65% youth) operating from Polokwane, Johannesburg and Pretoria. The practice acknowledges that its success is through dedicated staff development and has seen various staff members further their careers on a continued basis. As with all businesses an Architects’ practise need to remain a creative thinking environment in reality with time, cost and quality control usually within strict budgets and should further ensure that reality checks reminds one of basic sound business principles along with the challenges the building industry holds. Prism Architects prides itself towards those principles. Award winning Prism Architects is a South African based architect firm established in 1997, which operates from Polokwane, Johannesburg and Pretoria with a staff compliment of 45 people between the three practices. Prism Architects offers clients and developers a turnkey service with in house expertise of experienced Architects, Project Managers, Architectural Technologists and Interior Designers to ensure that we are designing your future together. He has also completed a Fellowship Admission Course and Construction Law Specialization Course with the Association of Arbitrators (South Africa). He started his professional career with Maree Els Architects and later joined Taljaard Carter Architects (Now TC Design Group) before jointly founding Prism Architects. qualification where after he completed a diploma in Project Management at the University of Johannesburg in In 1997 Schalk, Sam and Noel established Prism Architects. Noel has over 22 years practice experience with various private commercial firms in England, Zambia and South Africa with participation in architectural competitions such as the Holy Island Buddhist Retreat Center Competition in Scotland. This submission earned a commendation and formed part of a traveling exhibition throughout the UK.
