Fellowship is a lifetime achievement award in recognition of a person that has dedicated his/her life to Psychology in South Africa. Ann Watts is a clinical psychologist whose area of work is neuropsychology. She is a Past President of PsySSA and currently chairs Standing Committee on International Relations. She is Secretary General of the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS) and Treasurer of the Pan African Psychology Union. Prof Cheryl de la Rey is the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria, a position she has held since November Professor de la Rey is registered as a Research Psychologist by the Health Professions Council of South Africa, is a fellow of the Psychological Association of South Africa, a fellow of the Royal Society of South Africa and of the Academy of Science of South Africa. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1983 (with distinction in Psychology), Bachelor of Arts Honours in 1984 and Master of Arts in 1986 from the University of Natal both cum-laude, she subsequently obtained her PhD in psychology from the University of Cape Town in Having done her early research in intergroup relations, Prof De la Rey then focused on peace psychology and gender. As her career in higher education advanced, she undertook research in leadership, gender and higher education. Over the years she has published several journal articles, book chapters and edited books. Prof de la Rey is a member of several boards and committees. Currently she is the Chairperson of the National Advisory Council on Innovation (NACI), Vice Chairperson of the Talloires Network and the African co-Chairperson of the Australia-Africa Universities Network (AAUN) as well as a member of a number of national and international boards and committees such as the Executive Board of the International Council for Science (ICSU), the national Human Resource Development Council and the Council of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Norman Duncan holds a professorship in Psychology and is the Vice-Principal: Academic at the University of Pretoria. His research and publications are primarily in the fields of racism and community psychology. He currently serves as one of the lead researchers on the Apartheid Archives Research Project, a cross-disciplinary, cross-national study of the enduring effects of apartheid-era racism on people’s lives currently. Prof Chabani Manganyi is a Senior Research Fellow and former vice chancellor of the University of Pretoria. PsySSA is the nationally representative professional body for psychology.
