The audiologists at Sandton Hearing & Balance test the hearing system (outer, middle and inner ear), diagnose the type and degree of hearing loss and provide referrals for any medical related concerns. Cerumen (earwax) management is also performed if required. We see our patients as part of a strong partnership and love discussing hearing instrument solutions together. We explore our selection, evaluate hearing instruments on a trial basis, and implement precise hearing instrument programming with customised real ear verification and percentile analysis. Annual follow-ups, servicing and reprogramming of the hearing instruments allow for optimal settings year after year, which is also included in this service. Counselling is provided as part of a standard diagnostic audiological assessment. We conduct hearing tests on babies, toddlers and young children at fundamental stages to exclude the possibility of hearing loss. We diagnose and manage hearing loss and refer for any medical concerns. Vestibular testing is a specialized service using videonystagmography (VNG) to determine the site and presentation of dizziness and balance disturbances. Thereafter we work closely with a team of vestibular physiotherapists to assist in the rehabilitation of vestibular and balance disturbances. We conduct annual hearing assessments and assist with custom hearing protection. The audiologists at Sandton Hearing & Balance are proud members of the South African Association of Audiologists (SAAA ) Our audiologists believe in establishing warm and lasting relationships with our patients.
