Sandton Psychology Centre consists of Educational, Counselling and Clinical Psychologists. After hour sessions are available upon request. Sandton Psychology Centre is open from Monday to Saturday. A wide range of assessments are also offered (emotional, career guidance etc.). Play-therapy for children, subject-choice, developmental, educational,  couples counselling/marriage therapy and career coaching is also available. The experienced psychologists offer psychological services for children, adolescents, adults and couples. Talks & workshops will be advertised on the Sandton Psychology Centre's website.

At The Sandton Psychology and Wellness Centre, clients have access to a range of health professionals, including Psychologists, a Nutritionist and a General Practitioner. Our varied and dynamic team of health professionals work alongside each other, offering highly convenient and accessible support for a variety of health issues. A mandala is largely associated with ancient cultures and literally translated means circle or centre. The mandala logo represents both the visible world outside of us as well as the one deep inside our minds and bodies. Essentially play therapy is psychotherapy for children. As children communicate by means of play, this is the most effective form to assist them with their feelings and understand what is concerning them. Children don’t have the necessary skills to have an in depth discussion with a therapist about what is bothering them, much like adolescents and adults are able to. Many child psychologists tend to be eclectic in their approach to play therapy, therefore they draw on various schools to assist the child. A skilled child psychologist will take the direction from the child as to what approach and technique would best suit the individual child. Each developmental stage during childhood can present various difficulties, some of which can over-lap. Some difficulties are as a result of environmental circumstances, such as divorce or the illness of a caregiver. The following are a list of childhood difficulties where play therapy and parental counselling can help. Elimination difficulties, such as refusing to pass stools in toilet and so forth. However, parents will still be concerned about a specific behavior and play therapy will useful in this regard. Children who complain of physical complaints (but which have no medical basis) such as tummy aches, headaches, aches and pains\. Not achieving academically, and/or not motivated regarding schoolwork or homework\. Significant sibling rivalry or fighting with siblings which seems excessive\. Are not happy with themselves and don’t like something about themselves. Sandton Psychology Centre has psychologists who specilaise in child psychology. Play therapy assists with the treatment of the difficulty or concern, along with parental guidance. Problems that are limited to one subject, however, are too narrow to be considered a learning difficulty. Thus the child that gets a low grade for just one subject, and all other subjects are adequate would not have a learning difficulty. Often, children who do have learning difficulties struggle in more than one area, since many aspects of speaking, listening, reading, writing and arithmetic build on the same capabilities and thus overlap.
