Perhaps you are more adventurous then try shark diving along the Cape coast; Springtime on the west coast of South Africa in August/September is a flower spectacular for the nature lover. We take special care to make your dreams come true, creating once in a lifetime holidays, with dedication, service, advice and suggestions. We have a quick drive through Cape Town just to orientate you and then leave the city traveling out to the West Coast National Park. This is a flower paradise during this time of the year. Travel over Piekenierskloof Pass and down into the valley where we find Citrusdal as the start of the Namaqualand flowers. Overnight at the Citrusdal Country Lodge with dinner included. Enjoy a lazy morning as we have breakfast and then head to Bird Island to see this amazing sight where guano is collected for production. At 12h30 we will take you out of Lamberts Bay to Muisbosskerm where we treat you to a fish braai on the beach with freshly baked bread out of the oven on the beach. Enjoy this wonderful experience and delicious food off the fire. Return to Lamberts bay in time to stretch your legs for the last time on the beach. This is another flower finding day as we travel to Vredendal and visit the wine cellars here for a wine taste and possible to buy a bottle or two to take home. Then we go to Van Rhynsdorp and visit the nursery producing succulents in all their different sizes and shapes with wonderfully descriptive names. Then we depart and travel north to Bitterfontein with our packed lunch. We arrive in Kamieskroon where we have a tea break. After tea travel further to Skilpad Nature Reserve where a sea of orange and white normally waits for us. Visit the Springbok Café where you can see many interesting pictures of the flowers and also of semi-precious stones. View the old waterwheels still in operation for irrigation. Travel further to Upington where we check into the Upington Hotel for dinner and overnight. Enjoy your breakfast and then we travel through the Kalahari with its red sand dunes. We check into the Eldorado Hotel for our last night. There is also a curio shop if you want to support the church. 07 Sept. Our last day has arrived as we enjoy breakfast and pack our bags for the journey home.
