Although we teach mixed martial arts the backbone of what we teach is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and this is evident with our success this year at the many competitions we took part in.

Our Boxing is headed up well known and highly respected SA Boxing Coach Gert Strydom. Gert has countless amateur and professional fight successes under his belt with many of South Africa’s biggest champions and world title holders having had Gert as their Coach. Gert’s level of passion and commitment to his fighters cannot be rivaled. For Gert, the health and well-being of his fighters comes first, and because of this, he continues to have success after success in the boxing ring, and now also in the EFC hexagon. Coach Caz has an incredible gift for working with our kids, making them feel good about themselves, teaching them to win and lose with honor and always to display good sportsmanship. This class is designed for dad’s who want to start an activity with their son’s (who may seem more like teenage aliens) in order to get back to some father and son basics through the bond that boxing creates. As a team, you will train together, de-stress and get fit together, master boxing skills in a controlled environment together and most importantly have a lot of fun learning together. For getting you started, we have all the other equipment you need but you are also welcome to purchase your own gloves etc from us at a later stage. Bring a bottle of water (although you can also buy at our coffee shop), as well as a towel. Coach G has built up an incredible reputation over the past 42 years as a highly respected and exceptionally passionate boxing coach and has led his fighters to winning 19 SA and 14 World Titles. After joining TapOut in 2014, Coach G has enabled our Amateur and Pro MMA fighters and Boxers to drastically improve their boxing skills where they are now regularly victorious in a variety of tournaments and championships including Fight Stars, Last Fighter Standing and EFC. Classes are open to men and women from the ages of 12 and up at any skill level. The majority of students in our boxing classes are between 18 and 40, with a few even younger and older!
