Wahl Industries is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and has over 60 years experience in the gravity and tilt casting industry. The group operates an aluminium gravity and tilt die-casting foundry which produces a wide range of castings for the automotive, irrigation, catering, general engineering, furniture and lighting industries We are ISO 9001:2008 certified and are members of the Aluminum Federation of South Africa. Wahl Industries is an aluminium die casting manufacturing plant making irrigation equipment, general aluminium castings for catering and engineering companies, and outdoor lighting for the retail and projects market. The group has a proud family history spanning sixty years. The original company, SA Clock Manufacturers, was started by Lorrie Wahl senior in 1943, producing tower clocks and cast church bells. The focus moved to gravity die cast (permanent mould) aluminium irrigation fittings in the 1960’s, when agriculture began to focus on more efficient use of water resources. As the irrigation market grew, clock and bell manufacturing operations were phased out. In the year 2000, the three foundry operations were consolidated, with significant financial investment in the new foundry. This has improved product quality and operational efficiencies. The foundry is one of the largest privately owned aluminium foundry in South Africa and the three companies now operate from owned premises with approximately 10 500m under cover. The group looks forward to being able to provide a more focused service to it’s existing and new customers, providing products that exceed customer expectations in an increasingly globalised and competitive economy. Over 60 years experience in the gravity and tilt casting industry. Regent Lighting Solutions was established in 1990 and has grown to become a multi faceted lighting company.
