Wild Frontiers was established in 1991 by John and Debbie Addison, as a Specialist Tour Operator offering safaris into East, West and Southern Africa. John is a seventh generation South African who has guided in most parts of Africa for over 25 years, and Debbie is English/South African, having lived in Africa for over 30 years. We have a specialist sales and marketing team at our Johannesburg head office who ably design and execute any style of safari for your guests. we live and breathe safaris, it’s our passion and we have been doing this for almost a quarter of a century. Our aim is to take you to wild, beautiful places, to DO, SEE and EXPERIENCE things. Our professional safari guides go that extra mile to give you a safari you will always remember. Our company has set organized trips for film crews from all over the world including the BBC, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. We have also taken a few celebrities on safari including Bill Clinton to the Serengeti, Jeremy Wade of River Monsters to Murchison Falls, Uganda, Stephen Fry to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda and Joanna Lumley along the Nile River. Wild Frontiers is a member of ASATA (Association of Southern African Tourism Agents), our Uganda operations is a part of AUTO (Association of Uganda Tour Operators), Tanzanian operations part of TATO (Tanzanian Association of Tour Operators) and Zimbabwean operations a member of ZTA (Zimbabwean Tourism Association). We are also members of SOAZ (Safari Operators Association of Zimabwe) so all of our companies are properly licensed. Wild Frontiers prides itself in having a selection of camps and lodges in Africa. Our staff are also able to organize trips to a multitude of different destinations around the world including, but not limited to Ethiopia, Antarctica, Peru, Botswana, The Central African Republic, Gabon and the Himalayas. We will personally design your perfect trip whether it involves summiting Kilimanjaro, fishing for Nile Perch on the Nile, witnessing the Great Serengeti Migration or White River Rafting down the lower Zambezi. We have a little bit of everything for everyone and will strive to make your experience one that you will never forget. As a side project Wild Frontiers began organizing and running marathons in popular destinations throughout Africa. The first such event was the Kilimanjaro Marathon which is run in the town of Moshi on its slopes. This event recently attracted over 6000 runners and greatly benefits the people of the town economically once a year while also giving athletes the opportunity to run a marathon in the shadow of the World’s Highest Free-Standing Mountain. The second event we organize is the Victoria Falls Marathon. This is also an annual race run in the charming yet wild little town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and of course passing over the bridge for a view of the Falls many only dream about. Both these events have been growing in attendance and worldwide popularity for years and are qualifiers for the Comrades as well as adhering to IAAF guidelines.
