Yad Aharon & Michael aims to provide a weekly food hamper to families in need comprising of fresh fruit and vegetables, a protein of the week, eggs, milk and bread.
Our Outreach Programs, are not only an opportunity to network with other charity organisations who share our mission of alleviating poverty in our midst, but they also enable us to, in turn, fulfil the mitzvah of Chesed by touching the lives of those whose predicament seems infinitely more desperate than our own.

Since its inception in the early 90’s, the organisation has ensured that every needy Jewish person brought to their attention is afforded the basic right to a nutritionally balanced, fresh produce food parcel on a weekly basis. Give your Father the most meaningful gift this year. We have just celebrated the festival of Pesach, the Jewish people’s freedom from the bondage of Egypt. One such beneficiary is YAD AHARON & MICHAEL whereby Jozi Blue’s patrons are encouraged to Pay-It-Forward when purchasing their coffees. LOTS OF ACTIVITY transpired at our Bayit this week, as the first of our were distributed. They were made with so much love and care, presented in personalized packaging. Two very special cousins celebrated part of their Batmitzvah’s with us at Yaddies, with many school friends. Together they packed fruit and veggies for the weekly food hamper distribution. We will be distributing these on Purim day to all of our recipients. We had two sold-out evenings, and the raffles were generously supported! We have not even opened yet, and the comments and emails from clients, expressing their gratitude for this much-needed additional service, has been so encouraging. Each and every year, for the past 20 years, we have provided all of our recipient families with enough food to enjoy a hearty, kosher Pesach and this year we are ensuring that this tradition carries on! We are running an awesome competition where you could stand a chance to win an iPad, a Restonic base set or a Pamper hamper including Levi’s Sunglasses, Rage clothing vouchers to the value of R1,000.00 and a Mani, Pedi and Massage from Flair Salon in Norwood. We are collecting stationery for our kids to get them ready for school in 2013!
